Technology chiefs from Round Rock, Texas, Forsyth County, Ga., and Decatur City, Ala., will be among the panelists at the event (1-2 p.m. Eastern), where they’ll weigh both sides of an increasingly popular but still-divisive issue. Proponents of utilizing student-owned devices say it’s a cost-affective way to achieve a 1-to-1 classroom, while opponents caution such policies raise serious equity, legal, and technical issues.
