Hello Folks!

We are Ed Week’s newest bloggers (yeah, it’s so 2005, but who cares). We want to take you out of the navel-gazing worlds of Washington and state houses and into the nation’s school districts, where education policy intersects with rough-and-tumble politics and real students.

In this space, we will highlight what school districts are doing inside and outside the classroom, whether it’s innovative, scandalous, controversial, promising or some other adjective we haven’t thought of yet.

From time to time, we’ll bring you Q&As with top district leaders.

Going forward, we invite you, dear readers, to use this blog as a venue to exchange ideas, share opinions, and have informed debate about how to meet the unprecedented challenges school districts face.

Of course, we can’t possibly know everything that goes on out there in district-land, so please send us your news, trends, and juicy gossip! We are on Twitter too, so follow both of us there.
