The meeting, entitled Rally4Babies: Learning Happens from the Start, aims to offer information to the public about the early years and gin up signatures for a petition in support of Early Head Start, home visitation programs, and other early years programs to be delivered to the White House and Congress.

Celebrities including actor and Save the Children Artist Ambassador Jennifer Garner, and children’s musician Laurie Berkner; presenters will include U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, and Chair of the Board at America’s Promise Alliance Alma Powell will present.

The event, put on by the Washington-based nonprofit Zero to Three, can be found through Google+ Hangout at http://rally4babies.org/community.
