The Onescreen is my Eduslam
Holly Clark and Tanya Avrith are producing a fun online professional learning project called EduSlam. They film five-minute videos of teachers and other ed tech nerds talking about their favorite ideas for teacher practice. It's a little bite-sized PD nugget, delivered with a heaping tablespoon of enthusiasm.
This week, Holly and Tanya are producing a series of iPad-focused EduSlams with my colleagues from EdTechTeacher (this is the last week to sign up for EdTechTeacher's iPad Summit before the early registration deadline on October 13th.) I got to lead off the week with a discussion of the #onescreen idea, the notion that iPads are best understood as portable multi-media creation devices rather than repositories of content apps, and the few apps that you need should fit on one screen.
I love it when passionate educators find ways to share and learn with others. Not everything is right in the eduworld, but this is the golden age of teacher-led professional learning.
