The "Independent Lens" film looks at three juvenile offenders facing lengthy prison sentences and their role in a screenwriting class behind bars.

The as-yet unnamed and unscheduled series will follow seven twentysomethings who attend a semester at Highland Park High School in Topeka, Kan.
