Thinktank Thursday a Day Late: Madonna x Mike Petrilli="Like a Student"

Madonna-Like-A-Virgin-01.jpg
Did the Fordham Factor jump the shark? I don't think so, but after yesterday's geezer complaints about Miley Cyrus lyrics endorsing "anti-school" messages, I knew they needed a hand. Here it is - Madonna's "Like a Virgin" remixed as "Like a Student," a pro-school diddy that will undoubtedly remake teenage culture for the better. In brackets, you'll find stage directions for the video, which I hope they will put together for next week's Fordham Factor.

I made it through that Calculus [Checker Finn by a blackboard with equations]
Somehow I made it through [Mike Petrilli, head buried in books in the library]
Didn't know how smart I was [Liam Julian, wagging finger at camera]
Until I found you [Christina Hentges as teacher, wearing Spellings SLGs]

I was street [Coby Loup, wearing sunglasses, looking tough]
Took incompletes [Stafford Palmieri holding a report card with no grades]
Had no grad [Amber Winkler tossing graduation cap to the floor]
I was robbing you [Cut to ED in '08 video, "I will steal your hot wife"]

But you made me feel [Petrilli hugging his Calc book]
Yeah, you made me feel [Julian petting his Calc book]
Dorky and new [Checker Finn nodding head at the camera with a sly smile]

Like a student [All staff lined up in nerd attire and Steve Urkel glasses]
A nerd for the very first time [Challenge: Fordham staff - finish the lyrics/video]
Like a student
When you get grades
Just like mine

Here are the rest of the lyrics for Fordham (or some enterprising reader!) to rewrite for them:

Gonna give you all my love, boy
My fear is fading fast
Been saving it all for you
cause only love can last

Youre so fine and youre mine
Make me strong, yeah you make me bold
Oh your love thawed out
Yeah, your love thawed out
What was scared and cold
