Aligning High School With College: Texas’ Story

You don’t have to hang around the high school space very long to hear someone bemoan the disconnect that leaves high school students unprepared for the rigors of college study. So when I started hearing about Texas’ leading-edge work to fix this, I got interested. Check out my story.

Experts say the Lone Star state is way ahead of other states in putting together the pieces of the college readiness puzzle. But while Texans are proud of how far they’ve come, they also know there are crucial pieces of the puzzle still missing. It’s a work in progress, and not an easy or tidy one, at that.
