President-Elect Barack Obama and Bilingual Education

Education Week has published an article, "Advocates of Bilingual Education Eager to Embrace Obama as Ally," in which I report on Barack Obama's endorsement of transitional bilingual education during his campaign and what that might mean for education.

Comments

Hopefully this will help Bilingual education and help release a report the Bush Administration created which showed positive benefits through bilingual education that was suppressed. Hopefully Bilingual education could expand so that it is not just a program for Spanish speakers and inner city students.

You are always so comprehensive in your articles yet so easy to read and understand what's behind your words.

Thanks once again for a great perspective on what might be ahead of us with President Elect Obama's campaign comments and thoughts.
