A boy made of wood starts off on a journey to discover his identity. He strives to maintain his Mexican roots while navigating the United States. That’s the story line of an adaptation of the folk tale of Pinocchio that is being presented by Teatro SEA, a bilingual theater for children in New York City. The show, presented in both Spanish and English, starts today and runs through Sunday, Dec. 13.

If I were a teacher of English-language learners in New York City, I’d encourage my students to see the show.

Sometimes it seems as if the Big Apple has it all.
