Welcome to On Air, Education Week’s new video blog!
With its unique ability to engage and inform, video is a powerful tool for journalists. And while EdWeek has never been a stranger to video and multimedia projects—see Leaders To Learn From, The Re-Education of New Orleans , A Long Road Back to the Rez, and many others—we now can do even more.
EdWeek recently acquired Learning Matters TV, an education-focused video production company, and entered into a partnership with PBS NewsHour. This has provided us with a dedicated production team, as well as the exciting opportunity to reach new audiences via television broadcast and other platforms. From broadcast news reports to Web-only video stories and analysis, expect much more video to come!
This is where On Air comes in: the blog will be the first stop for all of EdWeek’s video reporting. We’ll post our new videos from PBS and edweek.org, and highlight interesting and topical multimedia content. We’re expanding our video storytelling efforts, and invite you to join us to keep updated with the latest news.
