Students Find Power in Poetry (Video)

Poetry Out Loud, a competition that includes students from each state, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories, teaches young people the art of reciting poetry. Like a spelling bee, participants advance through school, state, and regional finals to perform at a national event.

In this video, competition finalists discuss how poetry recitation has enhanced their performance skills, promoted confidence, and inspired a love of language.
