Today's curriculum, although rich in details, is really EXTREMELY NARROW in terms of the of the necessary skills for effective thinking, effective action, effective relating and effective accomplishment that we teach our kids systematically. We CAN teach these needed skills, but we must lose the details (and not the core) of what we now teach to do so.
