Is higher education just an expensive waste of time? Advanced Placement courses, extracurricular activities, all night study sessions—are all the blood, sweat, and tears spent on getting into the right college really worth it? As high schoolers and college admissions offices around the country are abuzz with life-altering decisions, this article from Forbes.com wonders what all the fuss is about.

I found this article to be a bit too simple. Certainly college offers a chance for those who need the boundries and contraints of structure to help them learn, or become motivated to learn. I agree that college is not for everyone (i.e., Bill Gates, etc); however to offer up five reasons not to attend college is absurd. Four of the five reasons are based on financial gain - there's more to our society than that.
