Scissors Scare

There's lead, or something toxic, in some Fiskars scissors that were being used at some schools, according to this blog post.

Comments

Fiskars scissors are and have always been safe for our consumers. We are happy to report that through our analysis we have concluded that our products do not require the Proposition 65 warning and that going forward it will no longer be on our packaging. When Proposition 65 came out, being the conservative company we are, we put the warning on all products until we were able to make the determination that it was not warranted and now we have determined that our scissors are perfectly safe. Fiskars believes in providing customers safe, effective products and will always comply with state and federal regulations.
