"I Don't Want To Blow You Up!"

Talk about misguided efforts at teaching tolerance. This artist has created a storybook-coloring book to help children understand Muslims -- a noble effort, but perhaps a little too shocking in its approach (Teach Tolerance Through Coloring). From New York Magazine.

I just read the New York Magazine article, and I don't understand what you find "too shocking" about the book's approach? I think its "over-the-top" title is meant to be humorous, and the book doesn't seem to be about helping people "understand Muslims" as much as having them lighten up and break stereotypes people have about them. A small difference, but a significant distinction in tone.
