Good Report, but ...

Given what we know about gender gaps in reading, why don’t reports such as this one from the Annie Casey Foundation break out the data by gender. Doing it by race and income doesn’t begin to touch the problem.

If No Child Left Behind had included gender as an AYP accountability measure we wouldn’t have this problem.
