Rand Study Says Personalized Learning Boosts Academic Gains

A Gates Foundation funded report indicated that public charter school students are making greater gains in math and reading than similar students at comparable schools. Studied schools are also adopting similar practices such as personal learning paths, competency-based progression and flexible learning environments.

E.L. Haynes: A Force For Change

The first social enterprise to emerge from E.L. Haynes was LearnZillion, a professional development platform founded by former principal and Chief Academic Officer Eric Westendorf and former teacher Alix Guerrier. Today, LearnZillion announced the addition of 2000 Common Core lessons developed by a Gates Foundation funded "Dream Team" of 123 teachers.
