Im studying to become a teacher and at times I become discouraged because all I do is bookwork. But it's stories like these that remind me why I chose this job in the first place. So thanks.

As a parent of a child who has achieved academic success (while dealing with a major learning difference - central auditory processing deficit, dyslexia, &ADHD) I suggest modifying this blog to include parent's stories about how their child became academically successful. For us it has been a 7 year journey in partnership with many different teachers. Our perspective/experience may be valuable to everyone interested in this issue.

The challenge to help a student is why I want to be a teacher. I know it is going to be hard, but that is why I am so excited. The students inspire me and touch the lives of all their teachers. We are all so lucky.

I am a college student majoring in education. Hearing stories like this is very encouraging to me, to let me know that what teachers do actually does make a difference in child's lives!
