A Classroom Strategy: Making Sense of Fractions Through Group Work (Video)

Kris Carey, a 5th grade teacher at Banting Elementary School in Waukesha, Wis., uses fractions to promote both language and math skills in her dual-language classroom. Students are broken up in groups based on their language skills to strategize different ways to solve number strings.
