Congratulations to our fearless, diligent, and ever-entertaining blogger Marilyn Rhames, author of Charting My Own Course, for receiving the Educator’s Voice Blogger/Commentator of the Year Award from the Bammy Awards.

According to the website, The Bammy Awards “were created to help reverse the negative national narrative that dominates the education field.” Recipients hail from all parts of the education sector and include teachers, school nurses, researchers, custodians, and parents.

Marilyn was chosen through an online popular vote for this Educator’s Voice award and is now in the running for the Bammy Award, which will be selected by the Academy of Education Arts and Sciences International. She’ll find out at a ceremony in Washington on Sept. 21 if she won that honor as well.

Way to go, Marilyn!
