The TV show “Teachers” debuted on TV Land in mid-January. It’s one of many shows in the history of TV to take on education, from “Welcome Back, Kotter” to “Boston Public” to “Bad Teacher.”
The workplace sitcom follows a group of six Midwestern elementary school teachers as they navigate their personal lives within the confines of their public ones. It premiered to mixed reviews, criticized in part for relying on tired tropes about the teaching profession, and for "[mistaking] crass for cutting-edge so often,” as New York Times critic Neil Genzlinger writes.

Now that the sitcom has had a few episodes to settle into a groove, we’re inviting three educators to join us here today, Wed., February 3, at 10:30 p.m. ET to liveblog the show’s fourth episode. You really don’t need to have watched previous episodes to be able to catch up, so don’t worry about that.
