The Washington-based Alliance for Excellent Education has launched a new center called the Center for Secondary School Digital Learning and Policy, which will focus on how digital learning can help make secondary students college- and career-ready, with a specific focus on low-income students and low-performing schools.

Sara Hall, the former deputy director at the State Educational Technology Directors Association, or SETDA, will be leading the center, which will be integrated into the Alliance for Excellent Education’s existing policy areas. The center’s work will focus on identifying best practices, creating policy recommendations, and informing policymakers about the power of education technology and digital learning to help students become college- and career-ready.

As far as I can tell, the center does not yet have a website up, but check out this video by Alliance for Excellent Education’s president Bob Wise (AKA former governor of West Virginia and co-chair atDigital Learning Now) for more details about the center and what we can expect from it in the future.
