Partnership for 21st Century Learning, a collection of businesses, foundations, and educator organizations focused on preparing students with the skills they need to succeed in modern careers, is joining Battelle for Kids.

Battelle for Kids, an Ohio-based nonprofit that helps school districts and communities redesign their missions and strategic plans around their vision for student success, has been expanding its network in recent years. The organization, which is headed by Karen Garza, a former superintendent of Virginia’s Fairfax County school district, absorbed EdLeader21 in 2017.

Battelle for Kids announced the partnership on Thursday.

Partnership for 21st Century Learning, which started in 2002, will continue its focus on skills it defines as essential to student success, including creating educational experiences that emphasize the “4 Cs"—creativity, communication, critical thinking, and collaboration.

The organization’s early partners included the two national teachers’ unions, the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers; and businesses, including The Walt Disney Company and Intel.

You can find more information on the partnership here.
