Rep. Carol Shea-Porter, D-N.H., lost to her Republican challenger, former Manchester Mayor Frank Guinta.

Rep. Shea-Porter, a member of the House Education and Labor Committee, has criticized the No Child Left Behind Act from the left, particularly its emphasis on standardized testing. Guinta pledged to rein in spending.
