Women Equal Men in College Degrees

Women have caught up with men when it comes to completing college, according to new figures from the U.S. Census. About 29 percent of women in the United States older than 25 have at least a bachelor’s degree, compared with 30 percent of men. While women outpace men in employment rates and appear to have weathered the current recession better than men, a pay gap still exists. Women working full time earn about 80 percent of what men make.
