Making Adolescent Literacy A National Priority

The embargo has lifted on the final report that caps five years of work by the Carnegie Corporation of New York’s Council for Advancing Adolescent Literacy. It lays out a national agenda for tackling the adolescent literacy problem, saying that it’s time to “re-engineer” the nation’s education system at the school, district, state, and federal levels to make the issue an “overarching” priority.
