Got your hiking boots and climbing ropes ready?

Learning Forward 2012 Summer Conference kicks off Sunday in Denver. This year’s conference theme, “Lead. Inspire. Empower to New Heights,” promises we’re in for four days of great learning, leadership, inspirational speakers, and a conference that will provide attendees with tools and strategies to return home and affect change in their schools, districts, states and provinces.

This year more than 1,500 people will be joining us for the summer conference. We’re excited to have Tom Boasberg, Carol Dweck, Avis Glaze, Lily Eskelsen, and Chris Lehmann delivering our keynote addresses, along with preconference and concurrent sessions on topics like Common Core State Standards implementation, to formative assessment of teachers, and many, many more. The Summer Conference is also an opportunity for members of our Academy classes, Learning School Alliance cohorts, and affiliate leaders to gather to prepare for the next year of their learning.

You can follow all of the conference comings and goings on Twitter @learningforward and #learnfwd12. For those of you who will be traveling to Denver to join us, we’re looking forward to learning with you, and for those who can’t make it, remember that the 2012 Annual Conference in Boston is right around the corner!
