About 65,000 undocumented students graduate from U.S. high schools each year. These students are protected under Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA — an Obama administration policy that allows them to stay in the country, attend school, and obtain work permits.

President Trump has stated that he doesn’t plan on revoking the policy. But immigration arrests are now up by 33 percent nationwide, and many DACA recipients are uncertain about their future.

In this report for PBS NewsHour, Education Week correspondent Kavitha Cardoza speaks with undocumented teachers and students in Los Angeles, Calif.
