The Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services conducted a webinar July 14 that was plagued by, as the department is gently describing it, “technical difficulties.” I was listening in and it was more like the voices were absolutely unintelligible, despite several pauses to try and fix the glitches.

But the office is planning to continue the event again this Thursday. From a press release from Alexa Posny, the assistant secretary of OSERS:

At this time I would like to extend an invitation to join me, along with Lynnae Ruttledge, Commissioner of OSERS' Rehabilitative Services Administration (RSA), Sue Swenson, OSERS' new Deputy Assistant Secretary and Acting Director of the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR), as well as Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) division directors Larry Wexler and Ruth Ryder on August 12 for Part II of OSERS' Webinar, "OSERS Roadmap: Charting the Course." During this session, we will continue our overview of OSERS' newly set goals, and describe how OSERS' programs and services are helping us to achieve them. Following the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to pose questions to OSERS' leadership team.

No special equipment is needed for the webinar, other than a computer with an internet connection and speakers. You can find more information on the webinar and sign up here.
