Will Black Males Have the Skills to be Journalists?

That’s the question raised here. The answer, given the declining literacy skills found in urban black males, has to be: unlikely.

One beacon for hope continues to be the rising number of urban charter schools aimed at black males. Here’s an interesting one in the pipeline in Madison, Wisconsin, the Madison Preparatory Academy.
