This May Not Look Like a ‘Boys’ Story, But It Is

The L.A. Times publishes an important story that gets to the heart of my new book coming out in a few weeks,The Bee Eater.

Can dramatic improvements in teacher quality in failing urban schools turn things around? Yes. Those helped the most are those currently hurt the most, black and Latino boys. The fallout, however, may prove politically lethal, as explained in my book.
