Everything You Wanted to Know About Student Motivation, But Were Afraid to Ask
My colleague and co-author, Katie Hull Sypnieski, and I worked with Ed Week this week to create four short videos on student motivation.
Ed Week has published them in a section headlined What Teachers Can Do to Boost Student Motivation, and they are also embedded below.
Encouraging student intrinsic motivation has been a longtime interest of mine, which is why I've written three books on the topic and am working on a fourth one.
If you'd like even more resources on what it looks like in the classroom, you can check out previous posts appearing here on Student Motivation & Social-Emotional Learning.
In addiiton, you might find A Collection of My Best Resources on Student Motivation useful.
Finally, Katie and I worked with Ed Week last year on a different set of videos on differentiating instruction. You can find them at Everything You Wanted to Know About Differentiation, But Were Afraid to Ask.
I hope you find these resources helpful!
