Video: How to Teach Poetry Using Imagery and Emotions

During a unit on the Harlem Renaissance, students compare and contrast two Langston Hughes poems by doing a line-by-line analysis of each poem. Teacher Debora Gaten shows her elementary school students how to analyze imagery, figurative language, and their own emotions when reading the poems.
