An Early-Learning Math Strategy: Count While Waiting in Line (Video)

Natali Gaxiola, a pre-kindergarten teacher at Felton Preschool in Lennox, Calif., integrates math practice into her students' lineup process as they transition to their next activity. Students are asked to pick a card and clap for every dot on it. This keeps them thinking and active while they wait in line, Gaxiola says.
