'Gifted Child Today' Special Issue: Response to Intervention

Twice here at "Unwrapping the Gifted" I have written about RTI (Response to Intervention) and its implications for Gifted Education. I outlined some of the possibilities last August and revisited the issue this past March. Today I wanted to write to let you know that full and free access is now available to one of the most useful and comprehensive sources of information on the topic of RTI and Gifted Education!

Last summer, Gifted Child Today published a special issue on the GT/RTI topic and it has proven to be one of their most-requested issues ever. It had to go into extra printings and they still can't seem to keep copies of it in stock -- certainly evidence of the wide interest in this topic!

Well, Prufrock Press, publisher of "Gifted Child Today," has decided to make the full GT/RTI special issue freely available in a PDF download! To access your own copy of this important and very helpful resource, just click here to download the full issue, cover to cover!

A giant "thank you" to Prufrock Press for taking this step in helping schools, districts, parents, teachers, and administrators have easier access to such a valuable and timely resource. To read a statement from Prufrock's editor, Joel McIntosh, about this PDF release, visit Prufrock's Gifted Education Blog.

And on an unrelated note, regular readers of this blog might be interested in the tidbit of good news posted over at Teaching Now. You can also find the complete "Top 50" list here, although you'll have to scroll to the bottom as I'm at the end of the list. (But, as my Superintendent pointed out to me, #50 is still on the list...!)

Have a great week, everyone! :o)
