A new poll shows that most parents and teachers feel that the amount of homework given to students today is just about right. The results appear to contradict reports about rising concerns over the homework burden on kids....
In his State of the Union Address on Jan. 31, President Bush called for training 70,000 additional teachers to lead Advance Placement courses in math and science and bringing 30,000 math and science professionals into high schools as adjunct teachers.
